- When using this term in our relational learning framework we mean ''anything and everything that is not the proposition".
- This is similar to how it is applied in semiotics, linguistics, sociology and anthropology, to mean objects or entities surrounding a focal, usually communicative event.
- Context is "a frame that surrounds the event and provides resources for its appropriate interpretation". It is thus a relative concept, only definable with respect to some focal event within a frame, not independently of that frame.
