Taster workshops
(See some key workshop themes and a list of actual workshops)
Taster sessions
- Some introductory classes may be managed by volunteers, rather than by leading field specialists.
- Each session would normally seek to include our four key components:
HEAD - finding and reflecting on helpful theories & principles
HAND - relevant skills for engaging with the hands-on practicalities
HEART - emotional, experiential & sensory aspects
HUMOUR - playful and creative aspects
The purpose of classes
- to help individuals:
- 1. to build their own confidence
- 2. to become more conscious
- 3. to manage and feed their own curiosity
- 4. to support learning how to learn
- 5. to be more aware of what they enjoy / how they tick / who they are / who they want to be
- 6. to find out how others (in their teams) see them
- 7. to apply these skills to empathising with others in their teams
- 8. to feel a duty to learn from & support one another
- 9. to use their differences creatively to collaborate and produce sympoietic outcomes
- 10. to create (i.e. to map) their whole progress in a way that shows they know how to learn from succeeding, failing & helping the world to work better.
